Des nouveautés dans la bibliothèque numérique de E-CORPUS

• Les manuscrits arabes, géorgiens et syriaques du Monastère Sainte-Catherine du Sinaï (Egypte) sont désormais consultables sur e-corpus. Ce travail a été réalisé par l'Université Catholique de Louvain dans le cadre du projet Manumed (numérisation des microfilms) ; les notices détaillées sont en cours de saisie avec saisie des titres et incipit etc.
  • MSS Arabes : 202 manuscrits / 50 987 images
  • MSS Syriaques : 130 manuscrits / 27806 images
  • MSS Géorgiens : 12 manuscrits / 3099 images

TOTAL : 344 manuscrits ; 81 892 images 

• Les manuscrits hébreux de la Médiathèque de Nîmes , Carré d'Art
  • 19 mss, 3 372 feuillets accessibles sur e-corpus

• documents sur l'ornithologie de la Bibliothèque d'Arles

• documents sur l'histoire de l'Egypte : E-corpus vient de bénéficier d'une dotation spécifique d'un mécène pour numériser 50 000 pages de documents sur l'histoire de l'Egypte (de la période pharaonique à aujourd'hui) ; si vous avez des documents ou des  collections que vous souhaitez faire numériser dans ce cadre vous pouvez nous contacter. Ces documents seront diffusés sur e-corpus et dans la "bibliothèque virtuelle de l'histoire de l'Egypte" gérée par e-corpus.

• Manuscrits arabe du Père Jean-Joseph-Léandre Bargès (1810-1896) (bibliothèque diocésaine de Mareille, Le Mistral)

Les nouvelles coopérations de E-CORPUS

Le CCL (dans le cadre de MANUMED et de E-CORPUS) a passé des conventions de numérisation et/ou diffusion de documents numérisés avec :

• L'IFPO (Institut français du Proche-Orient :Damas, Beyrouth, Amman, Erbil...)
  • 100 000 images et métadonnées seront produites et diffusées sur E-corpus d'ici 12 mois
  • 

• Observatoire de Marseille
  
  • 80 000 fichiers numériques seront diffusés d'ici la fin 2011 dont 32 000 sont actuellement en ligne.
  • 

• Bibliothèque de l'Université de Kaslik - Liban
  • 50 à 70 000 fichiers seront diffusés d'ici fin 2011

• Bibliothèque des Antonins - Liban
  • 20 000 fichiers seront diffusés d'ici fin 2011

• Le CEDRAC, Beyrouth

• L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière, ENSLL sur E-corpus
  • 40 000 fichiers sur l'histoire des techniques photographiques seront diffusés d'ici fin 2011 dans le site camera-obscura.org

Les nouvelles bibliothèques virtuelles générées sur E-CORPUS

• Bibliothèque virtuelle sur l'ornithologie et le patrimoine documentaire 
  • 20 000 fichiers à ce jour .. 50 000 fichiers d'ici l'été 2011

•  Bibliothèque virtuelle sur l'histoire de l'astronomie

• Bibliothèque virtuelle sur l'histoire des mathématiques

• Bibliothèque virtuelle Jean-François Séguier (en étroite coopération avec la BM de Nîmes)

• une bibliothèque virtuelle sur l'histoire des inondations du bassin du Rhône est en cours de constitution ; elle est réalisée dans le cadre du groupe de travail bassin du Rhône du CCFB. Les nouvelles fonctionnalités de la plateforme E-CORPUS

• L'interface de la plateforme e-corpus est désormais accessible en italien 

• Affichage possible des résultats en "planches diapos" , notamment pour les collections iconographiques

• Interopérabilité de e-corpus avec les autres bibliothèques numériques

  • Google book

Les prochains développements informatiques prévus pour E-CORPUS (fin février 2011)

Prochaine itération 3.2

• "Chemin de fer" avec sommaires des documents et possibilité de saisir rétroactivement les sommaires des documents numérisés ;
• Communauté restreinte d'accès à certains documents (limitation d'accès par exemple documents a accès réservés pour des étudiants ou  chercheurs dans le cadre d'accord sur la propriété intellectuelle)

• Un petit groupe d'experts a été mis en place pour travailler sur l'amélioration des focntionnalités (navigation, feuilletage ...)  et performances de e-corpus ; ses propositions seront prises en compte pour une nouvelle série de développements d'ici l'été 2011. 

• La formation e-corpus du 22/03 est complète ; si vous souhaitez suivre une telle formation en 2011 nous contacter et selon les demandes une nouvelle session sera organisée en 2011 à Arles ou ailleurs (Paris, Lyon...).

There are now more than 1 000 000 pages or electronic files to see (or listnen) on E-CORPUS

and more than 1 100 000 documents from Gallica (BNF) through OAI.PMH 

(after getting results from e-corpus, onthe left of the screen, in "Enlarge search", click  on Gallica.OAI.pmh and you'll get results from OAI-mph search in Gallica-BNF).

What's new in the E-CORPUS digital library

• Arabic, Georgian and Syriac manuscripts from St. Catherine's Monastery Mount Sinai (Egypt) are now available on e-corpus. This work carried out by the Université Catholique de Louvain within the framework of project Manumed (digitization of microfilm); detailed records are being captured with titles and incipits etc.

• Documents on the history of Egypt: E-corpus just received a specific endowment from a patron to digitize 50 000 pages of documents on the history of Egypt (from the pharaonic periode to the present); if you have documents or collections that you would like digitized within this context you can contact us. These documents will be available on e-corpus and in the "virtual library of the history of Egypt" managed by e-corpus.

• Arabic manuscripts from father Jean-Jospeh-Léandre Bargès (1810-1896) (bibliothèque dioscésaine de Marseille, Le Mistral)

In the process of digitization and soon to be on  E-CORPUS

• Persian and Arabic manuscripts from the Aga Khan Museum (Geneva)

• The digitization of a series of antique photographs - Aleppo. Cooperation IFPO
  • Camille Hammad collection, studio photographer in Aleppo from 1933 to 1946 

• Antique documents from the library of Apt (Vaucluse) (in particular an eighteenth century manuscript on Egypt)

• Documents from the Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l'Homme (MMSH) in Aix en Provence and from IREMAM

• Documents on J.J.Rousseau are in preparation for the year J.J. ROUSSEAU 2012
  • e-corpus is digitizing the doctoral theses of the 19th century that pertain to this philosopher

New collaborations with E-CORPUS

The CCL (through MANUMED and E-CORPUS) passed agreements permitting the digitization and/or dissemination of scanned documents with:

• The IFPO (Institut français du Proche-Orient :Damascus, Beirut, Amman, Erbil...)
  • 100 000 images and metadata will be produced and available on E-corpus within 12 months

• The Astronomy Observatory of Marseille
  • 32 000 files already available and there will be 80 000 by the end of 2011

•  Library of the University of Kaslik - Lebanon
  • 50 to 70 000 files will be available by the end of 2011

• Antonins Library - Lebanon
  • 20 000 files will be available by the end of 2011

• The CEDRAC, Beirut

• The Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière, ENSLL on E-corpus
  • 40 000 files on the history of photographic techniques will be available by the end of 2011 on the site camera-obscura.org

New virtual libraries established on E-CORPUS

• Virtual library on ornithology and documentary heritage
  • 20 000 files to date...50 000 files by summer 2011

•  Virtual library on the history of astronomy
  • in preparation

• Virtual library on the history of mathmatics

• Bibliothèque virtuelle Jean-François Séguier (in close cooperation with the Library of Nimes) 

•  A virtual library on the history of flooding in the Rhône basin is being created within the framework of the Groupe Bassin du Rhone CCFB.  If you have documents of interest (books, archives, photographs, videos...) do not hesitate to contact us to discuss their digitization at no charge.

New features of the E-CORPUS platform

• The interface of the e-corpus platform is now accessible in Italian 

• Possible display of results on "contact sheets", especially for iconographic collections

• Interoperability of e-corpus with other digital libraries 
  • OAI.MPH
  • Google book

The next technological developments planned for E-CORPUS (late February 2011)

Next iteration 3.2

• "Railway" with summaries of documents and the possibility to capture retroactively summaries of digitized documents;
• Community restricted access to certain documents (limiting access for example to documents access restricted to students or  researchers in accordance with intellectual property agreements)

• A small group of experts was established to work on improving the functionality (navigation, browsing...)  and performances of e-corpus; their proposals will be considered for a new series of developmentsby the summer of 2011. 

• The e-corpus training beginning 22/03 is full; if you would like to attend such a training in 2011, contact us and according to requests a new training will be organized in 2011 in Arles or elsewhere (Paris, Lyon...).
